Ju Jitsu is a self defensive unarmed combat art used by the Samurai (Aristocratic warrior class of feudal Japan).
It uses throwing, grappling, striking and nerve pressure techniques to subdue an opponent. Ju Jitsu employs effective methods against attackers whether they are unarmed or armed. For this reason many police forces, armed services and security persons have used techniques taken directly from Ju Jitsu.
Ju Jitsu is regarded as a very effective method of self defence. The main principle of Ju Jitsu is to use your attackers force against themselves. Adding your strength to this force, makes for a very powerful defensive technique. This means that Ju Jitsu works effectively against a stronger attacker and can be made effective by anyone.
If not for just self defence Ju Jitsu is valued as a means to attain health, physical fitness and efficiency, and improve character.
Ju Jitsu will make a person independent of weapons and mere strength. You will be able to successfully deal with an attacker with your bare body, you will develop self confidence and a tranquil mind when you face unforeseen difficulties.
